Peer review process

All manuscripts submitted to Animalia undergo a blind review process wherein two reviewers from the Editorial Board read the paper and make one of three recommendations:

Yes: The submission is accepted for publishing without changes.

Yes, with Changes: The submission holds much promise for publishing, but requires minor revisions. Reviewers provide anonymous feedback, and the author is encouraged to revise the manuscript and re-submit for consideration.

No: The submission is not suitable for publishing without major revisions. Reviewers provide anonymous feedback.

If the reviewers make different recommendations, the paper will be provided to a third reviewer for a final decision. This process will be repeated until consensus is reached.
